Lightning protection kit

The most important element for the protection of the photovoltaic installation is the lightning protection. Lightning starts with the departure of the most powerful electric charge (the leader) from the cloud to the ground. When this charge reaches a certain distance from the lightning rod, another electric charge induced by it /with opposite polarity/ moves from the lightning rod towards it. After some time, the two opposite electric charges meet in the air at a certain distance from the lightning rod, during which a strong glow is formed - an electric lightning arc. In this phenomenon, the distance from the tip of the lightning rod to the meeting point of the two opposite electric charges (ΔL) forms the radius of the lightning protection zone (Rp), which in turn defines the protection zone of the lightning rod with preemptive action. A very important element for the protection of the photovoltaic installation is the lightning protection.
